New Insurance Act

On January 1, 2010 new Insurance Act came into force.

The Act was published under No. 277/2009 Coll. and has replaced the previous Insurance Act No. 363/1999 Coll. The new Act aims to harmonize the Czech law with EU directives and increase consumer protection. The insurance companies are, among other things, obliged to publish information on their current financial situation and structure of its shareholders.
